Who is he KARIM TAJOUAOUT
Karim Tajouaout is a Moroccan film director, cinematographer, and photographic artist, born in 1992 in Oujda, Morocco. He studied applied arts, cinematography, and creative writing, which helped shape a multidimensional artistic vision that intertwines image, narrative, and philosophical depth.
He has written, directed, and shot five short films that have been screened at national and international festivals and have received several awards. His work is characterized by its exploration of themes such as time, existence, and the human condition, blending visual sensitivity with reflective and symbolic storytelling.
Alongside filmmaking, he works in photography, capturing human and natural subjects through an expressive and emotionally driven visual language. His artistic influences include figures such as Goya, Dostoevsky, Kafka, Chris Marker, Monet, and Camus, whose impact can be seen in the contemplative and symbolic nature of his imagery.
Karim has also contributed to several film projects as a Director of Photography, working on visual composition, lighting, and framing in service of the director’s artistic vision.
